Time Loop Theory?

Did you guys notice in the flash back from the pilot episode, Jack runs past this sneaker. It looks a lot like the same sneaker that Nikki throws off of Paolo. It would be weird if time intervenes differently on the island. Also I was thinking about Claire's son Aaron. Do you guys think it might be possible that he may be Ben in the future. He did say he was born on the island. I think that connection there could be important. Thoughts?

I do think that time passes "differently" on the island, as the producers have hinted at. But, I do not think Aaron is Ben. I will say that Aaron seems older to me then he should be according to the timeline. That could just be a case of the age of the baby or babies cast to play the role. Time loops or passage seems to have to be a part of the final equation.

Maybe its not him. But they did say Aaron is special and they the psychic was so concerned about him being raised by his mother. Maybe its like a new beginning. If he was raised by another family, he ends up like ben, but if hes raised by claire things could be different. It would would explain why they were so interested in Claire's baby. but just theories, u never know with lost anything is possible lol.

They are different shoes! The first thing Jack sees when he opens his eyes is the white shoe in the tree. Nikki's shoe is a different color (green, I think). But there is definately a shoe-ish sort of theme happening on the show. The first shot we get of Locke is of his feet - shoe missing - and he wiggles his toe. Season one early on - Kate wants to go on the hike and Jack tells her she will need better shoes, then we see her removing a dead person's shoes - and we only see the boots she's removing. The Others walk around sans shoes in the jungle, even the Ben-led Others (if you think there are two sets) are in disguise and barefoot at the Pala Ferry, right before they let Michael leave. Oh yeah, and the Ring Lady in the Des epi points out the man in the red shoes. Christian walking through the jungle had on a suit and white tennis shoes. Charlie kept his heroin in his black&white van shoe.

I think one of Lost's themes is repetition or echoes. Sometimes it is more subtle like a shoe in a tree. Other times it is more obvious like Sayid is a torturer and then Rousseau captures and tortures him. Or Ben is Jacks prisoner then later Jack is Ben's prisoner. Alot of things like this have happened.
