Smokey Appearance?

When Nikki puts the spider on Paulo did anyone else hear smokey in the backround.. I am double checking myself but I thought I heard him...

When watching it I heard something, I thought of the monster, or the others, or even the whispers.
Not sure what the intention of the writers/director was.

May have been just as simple as making it more spooky.

I absolutely heard Smokey sounds just before the spiders came, but if there were also whispers then I didn't hear that and would certainly like to know.

I too did not hear any whispers but I DID HEAR Smokey just before the male spiders came for the female!

I thought Smokey was the spiders. Kind of like turning into something they fear the most - like the Medusa spider. That scene creeped me out, I hate spiders!

I didn't mean that I heard whispers or smokey either one.
Just that I did hear something and it made me think it was smokey or the others fixing to jump out.

But after rewatching it I believe it was just spooky sounds to add to the atmosphere and make the viewer think that maybe smokey or some other island mystery will show itself. But it was just build up to the spiders that Artz said would come if the female spider was in danger. Like getting smooshed by Paulo.

I rewatched it too.. I hear the same sound as Eko did at the stream before he saw Yemi (smokey) then followed him and died.. Same sound though as when the spiders were all running towards Nikki

I thought it was deffinately smokey music!

Definately Smokey, had the sound up, and that familiar clicking can be heard. question is, why. It would be amazing if he formed the spiders AND had the poisonous effects. Yet it seems he has to be close to 'scan' them, but we didn't see that. Sawyer saw something, or heard something, in the jungle when they find Paulo's body, but was mum when Hurley asked him what was up.

I thought Sawyer was just saw the freshly dug mound of dirt that Nikki had buried the diamonds under.

I just don't think smokey had anything to do with the spiders coming for Nikki. But I am open to the possiblity, and certainly wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.
