Nikki and Paulo - dead or alive?

So do we think that they are gone forever now? Or maybe Vincent will dig them up?

My money is that they are totally stone dead after being buried alive. What does everyone else think?

I think it is very possible that Vincent will dig them up. But my money is on them dying in their graves buried alive.

Or even better, Vincent does dig them up, but only nikki is alive and she takes the diamonds, runs off into the woods. Then the losties think someone dug them up to get the diamonds.

Dead, in the manner of poetic justice such murderous thieves would have had coming. They poisoned the old man to get thier hands on the diamonds, and then poisoned themselves for the same diamonds. It works beautifully for me.

I wouldn't mind Nikki waking up, and Vincent takes the diamonds, and she chases up after them, and then the monster kills her. Though i could see her dead, so the despising of both characters can be settled. meh.

I think if they do die the Losties will somehow find out they were alive, and if they don't die...well they might be pissed off.

Really, they should be dead. But who knows what will happen.

No wonder Vincent took the blanket off of them, he knew they were still alive. Crazy!

Well Locke did say "Nothing on this island stays buried" to Paulo which I think is a key line right there and it def. could be some foreshadowing. I mean Sawyer did a selfless act in front of Sun to show he doesn't care about the diamonds. But this isn't really in his nature. He may go back when everyone else isn't looking and dig them up for the diamonds. You never know

BabyYo makes a good point about being dug up, but as far as dead or alive... dead. I would like to see Sayer go back for the diamonds and maybe find that Nikki and Paulo had attempted to dig themselves out and suffocated in the process. however, even if none of that ever happens and they just end up dead I would feel totally satisfied in their ultimate fate, they deserved it.

If I was gonna go back for the dimonds,I'da left them IN the bag,not scattered in a ton of sand that I had to sift thro!
