Sun-Hwa Kwon
Sun-Hwa Kwon (née Paik ?) (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Baek Seon-hwa, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Paek So(n'hwa) is one of the middle section survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. She was traveling on the plane with her husband, Jin-Soo Kwon. Their marriage has been very unstable, on and off the island, mainly due to Jin's controlling and violent nature and also because of Sun's many secrets that she will go to great lengths to protect even if it involves hurting others e.g. the maid in "The Glass Ballerina". She is currently pregnant with Jin's child, and according to Juliet the pregnancy will kill her in two months like every other pregnant woman who conceived on the island.

Great! That's what I'm trying to get my head around. But something just occurred to me (I promise I'm awake this time...)
Spatial time has something to do with the series, I think most can agree.
So, I'mm looking at this backwards.
Suppose the goal was not to GET these people on the same plane at the same time. They obviously ARE on the same plane at the same time, right?
So, if Desmond can see the future, who's to say someone can't see the past? Desmond WENT into the past.
Please bear with me... The plane crashes with all aboard. SOMEONE identifies the flight number and accesses the passenger manifest. SOMEONE identifies a portion of the passengers as "desirable" and they are placed on "the LIST".
Now, here is where it get's funky... To ensure that at some point in time that THESE people board THIS plane at the SAME point in time, SOMEONE goes into the past to manipulate or fine tune events to make this happen, making past outcomes dependent on how the present turns out. I suppose you could call it anti-time, or whatever.
That's how the Others have such detailed information on the Losties.
In any case, someone from Oceanic HAD to have had contact with the Others in order to get passport information. Didn't one of the flashbacks deal with someone supposedly involved with the flight behind the scenes?

He recognized that the message was in French. Where I live in Colorado there are many Spanish-speaking people who have lived here for awhile, yet they don't speak English. Their children are often bi-lingual and translate for their parents and the children often attend bi-lingual schools. My point is that if Sayid were hanging around in an Iraqi neighborhood or group, not intending to want to live there permanently, but just moving through and working to earn some money, maybe he could understand basic French, but not the crazy fish song and Danielle's mysterious writings.

I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is, Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle!'
