Why did Locke kill Pacthy?
I think that Patchy knew a dark serect about locke, Locke din't want anyone to know about it so he killed him.

How does pacthy know Locke?
The others have a book about jacks life. SO they know about his past life.
They dont know kate or sayid.
So how do they know stuff about locke.
In the peview for the next episode Ben knows that Locke was in a weelchair so maybe pacthy gave him this information.

In season 3 episode 7 it shows how Juliet joined the others and it shows that they knew a lot about her.
So maybe they know a lot about JAck and Locke because they wanted them to come to the island as a other like the way Juliet did.

Locke was also buying guns for the "commune." In Season 2 there was a scene with him in the Swan's armory cleaning and field-stripping the guns. He also knew how to set and detonate the dynamite when they blew up the Hatch (end of Season 1). And he knows combat and throwing knives.

I think his "secret" is that he got involved with some sort of militia group that also ran drugs. That was where he expanded his knowledge of weapons, knives, and explosives.

And if it was one of those survival-type groups, that would also explain his knowledge of survival skills, tracking abilities, etc.

I have thought that what Patchy knew about Locke was that he was Paralized before the crash, Locke doesn't want anyone to know about that!

maybe patchy was going to say that and that was going to make locke look week, and locke is now a leader.

But do we know that does "the others" nothing about Kate or Sayid? That haven't came out, yet. But I might be wrong. Patchy was telling that they have "big boss" but he didn't tell who is it. He just said that Ben isn't it. I think John is "the big boss".
