Jin-Soo Kwon

Jin-Soo Kwon (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Gwon Jin-su, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Kwo(n Chin-su) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jin was born into a poor upbringing with his fisherman father which he has always been ashamed of. After meeting and in order to marry Sun, the love of his life, he was forced into working into his father-in-law's mafia-type business in which he takes part in horrid tasks. This has made him almost scared of what he is capable of. Due to this, he was over-controlling of Sun in their late-marriage stage. Jin is the only survivor to not speak the native language within the group - English. This has caused a constant language barrier but after Sun revealed she spoke English to the group, this helped him overcome this struggle and has managed to pick up disconnected words and phrases.

Default Flaw?

I was wondering...When Sawyer and Kate where locked up in their cages they were in these barracks right?
So how could they have escaped if it is rounded completely with those sonic sensors?
Correct me if I'm wrong...10x

You are wrong. You are wrong. You are wrong. You are wrong. You are wrong.

They were on a seperate island, far away from the barracks.

I am still doubtful because in episode 6 Juliet took Kate to Jack (when he was on the other side of the glass)...So how come could she have taken her such a long distance and across the island? This is why I thought that it was the same barrack...

Remember back to the speech Isabelle told Jack about how they only work on that island (they didn't really like coming there) And when Ben took Sawyer (when sawyer had that heart monitor thing) and hiked up to the edge of the island and showed him the Losties island across the water. I think there are two separate islands and the hydra station was on one and the Barracks are on another.

ALTHOUGH>>>> now that I think back to one of Marvin Candle's filmstrips he does say something about taking the Pala Ferry back to the barracks.... hmmmm.... now I have to research this.

Basically Jack Kate and Sawyer were all being kept on the seperate island at the start of series 3. When they took Kate to Jack that could have been a two minute walk away for what we know.

Living quarters for personnel stationed at the Hydra Station were probably built on the Hydra Station island. That might have been what Marvin Candle was referring to in the filmstrip. The Others refer to "The Barracks" as Home...not as the Barracks. Maybe the Dharma people (like Candle) did, too.
