Charlie Hieronymus Pace

Charlie Hieronymus Pace was a survivor from the middle section of Oceanic 815. Before the crash, Charlie was the bassist and main songwriter for the rock band Driveshaft. When Flight 815 crashed, Charlie was snorting heroin in one of the plane's bathrooms. Charlie's drug addiction and crippling self-doubt were the biggest obstacles in his life. Like many of the Losties, the crash provided Charlie with a fresh start. On the Island, Charlie formed a relationship with Claire Littleton and her son Aaron.

After avoiding deaths foreseen by Desmond several times, Charlie finally died willingly to save the other survivors. He drowned on day 93, and his death is yet unknown to anyone except Desmond.

I didn't think she was huge and pregnant when she visited her mom the second time, just said she was pregnant. No? My bad.

I personally think that when she went in there to tell her mother it was like I have to go away for a little while... It was after Thomas left her she was like 5 or 6 months when he left... and I think it was just before she was leaving for the airport.. That is the impression I got...

Alright, heres an easy answer. Claire was pregnant at the time of the crash. Very early, like in the first few weeks. She was worrying about telling mum because they already were not getting along very well. Her anxiety about telling her, and her over the top pregnancy hormones caused a particularly nasty fight, which lead to the crash.

When she was in the car with her mom she was in her teens... When she told Thomas she was pregnant she was blond and older... That and on spoilerfix.com in and interview with the actress that plays Claire she said this is a different part of her life when she was younger..

If that is the case, then I return to my original thought. Claire never accepted her mothers brain dead condition. As long as she was alive on life support, then she viewed her as alive and still active in her life. She spoke to her in such a manner in the hospital room. So her referring to her in that manner when she found out she was pregnant makes perfect sense.

I concur with Frog and Wed ... this was REAL hope to Claire, not false hope (which I have heard several times now this season, hmmm...) that Christian was trying to convince her she had.
