There is a sick logic to it, that if you just avoid any possible confrontation and stop CARING about all this constant mystery, you will survive. And it has worked for her so far to be honest, whereas the 815s have had several people captured, and been shot at etc

I agree with you about Russo... She has survived on the island by blending in and for the most part minding her own business... There are still a few thing that stick out to me that have been brought up in the forum...

Mainly why did she give CBK to Sayid instead of torturing him herself... She is capable since she has done just this to Sayid.. The only thing I can think of is that she didn't have a place to anymore or she thought he could get more honest answers out of him.. He is a torturer she knows this and might as well use it to her advantage...

Maybe she was just in a bad mood when she tortured Sayid. Maybe she thinks Mikhail would never give up any information. Maybe she is confident that the map and Kate's info would lead her to Alex so she didn't him. Could be a lot of things, and I doubt they'll ever clear it up.

Maybe she was just really scared of Ben. If I happened to catch a snake in a trap (not that I would ever do that...) I would run and get some one to kill it or take it away. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole so... if she is super scared of the others...

There's no point in trying to survive if you have nothing left to lose. If she truly does still care about her daughter then she would want to interrogate each and every one of "The Others". For some reason she does the opposite. Does she have a master plan? Unlikely.

Perhaps Ben is using her by manipulating her into believing that she's been infected and that they can kill her any time they want. Remember how easily they duped Sawyer? And he's supposed to be a con man.

Then again, maybe she's just gone insane and although she still does want to find her daughter, her state of mind is so fragile that her fears have got the best of her and this is why she keeps her distance from the others even though she knows that confronting them is the only way to get answers and her daughter back.

Someone suggested earlier that maybe the Others told her she could live in peace on the island if she didn't come to look for her daughter, if she looked they would kill her....well maybe they told her that if she interfered with their plans they would kill her daughter.

One thing when ben was in the net he must of knew who Russo was?
