Do they still have outside communication with the outside world? Since the swan blew? Just because they had communication does not mean they do now... He could have gotten the tape with the world series before the sky turned purple... Don't forget while Tom and Jack were trying to fix CBK When asked by Jack why they didn't take CBK to some outside facility Tom said "Ever since the sky turned purple we... then was stopped when Jack nicked another artery.... Then when they were in the flame I think Sayid askes Patchy about the satalite... He said communications down, John asks Sayid if it could have been when the sky turned purple and Sayid says thats my guess..

My point is maybe now they can't come or go or communicate with the outside world

Very Good Point and quite logical. I think the communication was taken out purposely. Ben lied to Locke about the numbers being meaningless, precisely to cause him to stop entering the numbers. He had to know what would happen to some degree. We would be foolish to assume that things did not change dramatically for everyone on that island after the sky turned purple.

To begin with the person who started this post is a complete douchebag. Of course Mikhail (sp?) is working with the Others. And of course the Others have some outside world contact as we're seen first hand.

Just to recap the recent situation, as of when the sky turned purple, to quote this very episode:

Kate: Your people can come and go when they want?
Mikhail: Go, yes. But two weeks ago .. there was an event. An electromagnetic pulse. It would be impossible to come back.

So I guess you know everything huh? Can you explain everything else discussed in this post? If you're gonna throw around names at people who ask questions, start your own post and lay all your "knowledge" down.

Actually, I'm a pastor's wife with a 158 IQ. This Lost site is a nice site with nice people, where people can disagree, but still be friendly! I understand all about Mikhail, I was just pointing out another in a long line of time discrepancy... which I think a wrote about further down the post....

You said 'How does Mikhail know about Locke's condition when he's been on the island so long?' when we've clearly seen first hand that the Others can communicate and gain information from the outside world. So the post seemed pointless.
