It seems like we all liked this episode, but are somethings we should be delving into further? Who is Roger? Who goes for a beer run on an island. Was he getting it from one station and bring it to another? Is there something else in the van that we missed? Etc.

I have a feeling that Roger is just a nameless "Other" and there will not be any more references to him. But he was fun while he lasted. I loved it when Hurley and Jin were moving him and his head came off and Hurley was just kind of like "we'll deal with it later".

That made me laugh too. The look on Sawyer's face when he looked in the van for the beer and finds a head!! Wouldn't that beer taste awful after sitting there for xx amount of years in the heat? Not to mention that it was "Dharma Initiative Beer" - , but I guess, Beer is Beer! I think I would try to chill it in the ocean a little first though......

Maybe "Roger" had somebody else in the van and they were going somewhere to party in the van and lost control of the van. After the wreck the other person awakes up realize he's been brainwashed so takes off and never returns to camp.
I'm just throwing this out there, maybe some others think there was somebody else in the van with "Roger".

I was so thinking that too... With all the stuff in Sawyers stash he should be able to find a net and rope or something and tether it to his "home" down to the ocean cause that has to be colder than just leaving it out.. Warm beer is yucky! Unless there is no beer that would be worse

I had a good laugh when the body had a simple name like Roger. I could care less if there is anything deeper encrypted, I think he just went and stole some beer from the food drop.

and this is the cool thing... i loked up EPONYMOUS and got this:
