Jack and Juliet

Is Juliet in real trouble with her people, or is it just another con?
I am leaning towards the con. When they demand something of Jack he always stubbornly refuses. However, if he feels he is protecting someone he is quite easy to manipulate. He did the surgery on Ben in order to "save" his friends (kate). Now he is going to go along with them happily and take care of Ben to protect Juliet. Wasn't this the plan all along? That he would make a connection to her, care about her and do anything to protect her. They showed Sawyer that they are the masters of the con when they out conned him. I wouldn't be surprised if the bullets in the gun were blanks. It seemed rather extreme that she shot Picket point blank 3 times in the chest without even a warning. Now she can become aligned with Jack as an outlaw among her own People. They were both offered to be released from the island, but were not. They are both "marked".....he with the tatoo and her with her brand. Ben told Jack outright...Juliet does not care about you. No matter what it is you think....she is one of us.
I believe that is true.

I thought she gave Danny warning, didn't they have a conversation, she yelled for him to let them go, Ben said so, he said Ben would rather die than let them go and Juliet shot him before he could pull his trigger...right? I believe it is a con also. I don't like her. She wants off the island more than anything, no matter how good looking Jack is

And we shouldn't be trusting Jungle Girl either because they have Carl to hold over her head and make her do this and that...

Yea I believe your right... Jack is so easily presuaded by a pretty face.. What was the brand they put on her anyone get a good look.. Just incase it was some small clue into the others... Usually if your going to mark someone for what wrong they have done there is meaning in the mark itself..

What if her referring to going home is back on the main island to her house? She said she hates the work at the small island so maybe she is not lieing at all and she is just making Jack believe something different. That is my feeling. I think her sister probably died from the experiments and Juliette has no one so she is content to stay put.

Ah! I never thought of that. Oh wait, Jack asked her how long she'd been there and she was all 3 years, 4 months, 2 days (or whatever). that would make me think she was talking about being away from normal civilization. She hadn't been on the little island that long because she was at a book club meeting on the big island when the plane crashed. And the fact that she has her time counted down to the day makes me think she wants to go back to normal civilization, not the big island.

juliet pretty face... i dunno... but if you think so wednighter.. anywho. yes his flashbacks also are leading him to believ that asking questions and not fully trusting these types of women in his life Is the right path!

TOTAL CON. ( also a reason i think that sawyer knows to get away and regroup. ) A con needs setup and players. Sawyer and Kate are outnmbered, malutritioned and at thier wits end. so he was very ready to re group and get his army staffed and his gun.

as for juliet and danny... she warned him outside of the Carl brainwash facilty. and then danny runs off with the gun after saying those things.

Yes dont trust Sally slingshot or Bobby. that both dont know anything outside of thier lies they have been raised with. Carl ( bobby ) is obviously clueless to whats right and wrong in this world, as shown in his dialoge and Alex ( sally ) doesnt even know that henry gale isnt her real father... so what else do they believe? SHADY!

I believe that is true.

Yes, but Ben's words are always twisted! We never know what to think of what he says anymore, because it could be a complete lie or mean something totally different.

There's a few possibilities with Jack and Juliet. She could be actually falling for him, or completely faking it. It could also very well be part of the plan.

Did she really want Ben dead? I'm not sure now...

And I think the guy she killed (always forget his name) is dead. She was so determined to do what she had to do to get back, and she seems like the sort of chick to do anything it takes.

It all points to a con by either the others or by Juliet. If juliet's flashback is accurate, then Juliet is really not part of teh dharma others, and is caught in the middle. The dharma want to use Juliet to manipulate jack, and I am skeptical that Ben will let either Jack or Juliet leave the island.

I think the juliet is sincere based on her flashback, but as with all things others, i don't trust them as far as i can throw them.
