Rating for "Stranger in a Strange Land"

I said it was pretty good. It had the feeling of movie 2 in a trilogy. Kinda a bridge to the next episode. I felt like I wanted more to happen. I liked it, but wished they could have given us a bit more of the conversation between karl and Kate. There were hints at answers, yet nothing big.

I thought it was a BIG disappointment...I learned nothing of value. I really didn't care what Jack's tattoos meant, his flashbacks were pointless, the "sheriff" chick was boring (same with Juliet's "sentencing") and when things MIGHT get a little interesting (when Cindy is there, and the 2 kids, and the girl wants to know about Ana-Lucia) Jack just yells at them and they all leave...

The only parts I found even remotely cool were with Sawyer, and that's only because he can deliver one-liners with the best of them.

Seemed like ABC set this up to be some big deal of an episode, and it didn't deliver for me on any level. This show used to be my favorite show...but lately I feel like I'm watching just because I want to know what the heck its all about, not because I truly enjoy it. I can honestly say if they suddenly said it was ending this season, and just told us everything in the next few months, I would be happy to just be done with it.

Ugh, ok, I'll stop ranting now...sorry folks. Maybe the next episode or 2 will change my mind again...who knows. But right now I think the Lost producers could learn a thing or two from the Heroes producers...now that's a show that gets to the good stuff. Lost has officially dropped below Heroes on my must-see-tv list.

I think the show's great,but it's a bit scattered.... and now we're going to have a third island.... sheesh! Geographically, everybody is spread too far out: beach residents, sawyer and kate in the jungle, island two with Henry Gale, and now another island. When it was the losties vs. Smoke monster or the others it was a tight compact show and probably easier to write an episode. As each of the characters stories start fanning out there is less overlap in stories and we see the characters less. I won't stop watching, though.

I gave it an 'OK'. The whole Jack flashback arc was a bit boring. I'm finding it hard to put my finger on anything interesting in the whole ep. I'm also getting tired of Juliet's "look at how I'm suffering silently" looks.

I missed last week's ep so watched it at 9:00. It was much better.

I gave it a pretty good, although I will admit it is one of my least favorite episodes. I agree with the analogy of it feeling like the #2 movie in a trilogy. The past two episodes were much more exciting, but I think this one will have some answers that will be very important in the big picture.

I didn't like it much.. Like what was said before I didn't get much out of the episode, I kept waiting for some "big thing" to happen and it didn't...

I will say this, the more I mull this episode over. The more interesting I find it. It is much more subtle in the telling, and not as exciting in the viewing...but I think it is a vital, transitional piece of the overall puzzle.

I thought it was a fairly dull episode. Dragonfly likened it to movie 2 in a trilogy, so perhaps something big is going to happen soon.
The problem is, unlike a movie, Lost is a series .
With so much back-story the writers can pretty much write what they like and change things as they go along, I'm not sure how many series they intend to make, but will it end naturaly with a satisfying conclusion?, or will they wait until the ratings drop? Sorry to sound grumpy I love Lost too, but Logan has got me thinking.

Now that i spent my first hour at work watching it this morning... I can finally RESPECTFULLY disagree with you all.

Since i love jack and he again put lame ass others in thier place... It got my blod boiling.

Yes I love it when jack tells Sindy to get to steppin'... dont deal with her ambiguousness. she is worthless... and so are all those here to watch...

Sawyer had some amazing nicknames : Bobby, sally slingshot and the best of all, CAPTAIN BUNNY KILLER. ( which is finally an acceptable nickname for Henry Gale. I propose ti for use on this forum as i always do!)

I dont expect most of the women to like the flashbacks of Jack getting action from a supermodel... heck i dont care about des and his shirt off and sawyers love scene... But you all did. so it was about time for The other side of that coin, in my opinion.
