Why would Sawyer have a $80,000 bottle of booze? It obviously was found during his flotsam scrounges.

Somebody very rich was on that plane, a connaisseur of rare and pricey McCutcheon's whiskey...hmmm...who do we know that fits that description?

You'd think that Hurley would have recognized the bottle if it were his.

No I don't think that it is Hurley's he would have remembered have and extreamly expensive bottle with him I would assume... Does anyone think that Jack's Dad could have given it to Ana L as part of payment for her going with to help him? I don't know reaching here... Boone had access to money easily...
Those are the only ideas I have at this moment... Did we find proof on how expensive the whiskey is? Or where it is avabile? Or if it is real or like the Apollo candy?

well i have never flown first class before. but i would be willing to bet that those 1st class tickets to Aus are not cheap. SO any rich a-hole could have had that up in first class. even though sawyer was hunting through the fuselage...

Maybe someone else was on the plane that we don't know of yet. You never know with this movie. It could've been from Desmond's hatch also. Sawyer will steel anything from anywhere.

If desi was in that hatch for three years, he would have found it and drank it my then. It could have belonged to one of the passengers that didn't live through the crash.

Maybe it was part of the plane's stock. Something that was made available to passengers who asked for and could afford it.
