Frogmeister - I saw that podcast conformation on it not being a dream, too. But I don't think it will keep looping the same, because we already know this time around and the first(?) time around are bits&pieces different....e.i. Desmond doesn't buy the ring, but changes his mind and walks out, 2nd time takes the ring but throws it in the water. I think Desmond's best mate said a VERY key thing right when they first introduced him (after commercial). He was talking to a lady about you could do the same thing ten times and end up with ten different outcomes. I think this is going to be significant. btw - it might also help explain why penny was in a white shirt in one picture and a black in another; and why in life1 penny and des each had a picture and in life2 there was only one picture, and what Darnzy said about Penny being around in life1 and Charlie being around in life2. Could this also mean that who he was supposed to save has changed? Penny in life1, but now it's Charlie?

We talked about the picture discrepancy before.

the recast the woman who played penny. That is a production error. it happend when you filme the same "scene" years apart.

I know Benmer, but I DID look at that Lostpedia site you told about and it did say that the is a little possibility that it was intentional. The guys in charge of continuity wouldn't have checked THAT? I think most likely it was an error, but they've figured out a way to use it to their advantage.

yes continutiy is all about that. Often times you have to deal with the cards your given. I do this for a liveing ( editing ) and we get notes from scrip supervisors on set who tell us what continutiy errrors slipped past in filing and such. there are also people who watch the edits to look for them too as its a long process to edit all this shows down to 43 min works of art, and things slip through!

if they can make it work... good! we do use the errors to our advantage if ever the case may be that... ( rarely ) and tv series ike LOST have more leway to change small plot points, than do films...
