It may be nothing, but...

This may be nothing, but something that I thought could be important from last night's episode...

We saw the sequence where Des and Penny got their famous picture taken. It seemed to me there was only one copy of the picture.

At the end of Season 2, I believe Penny had the picture (when the Arctic dudes called her, it was on her nightstand) .

Last night, the picture turns up on the island, when right after Des wakes up nekkid.

Did Desmond have the picture on the island before last night?

Wow I forgot about the fact that Des breaks up with Pen there... How did they both get a copy?

Could have been done after he joins the Military there... He couldn't have gone right to the island since we know he was in prison after that and in LA when running and sees Jack

I would suggest checking the episode where he is in the hatch alone injecting himself with syrum... Maybe the picture is set up there...

And to shoot down the idea that he brought it back ( ie the time travel idea ) he woke up in the forrest. now if he brought things back... he would have had his clothes from the bar, and the picure and shoes... maybe eve red ones... j/k but he was naked and he found the picture at the Hatch. That means it was in the hatch to begin with. he probably had it with him on the boat...

But there was big controversy about the picture before, because there once was a picture of Pen and Des where Pen had on a white sweater, and then there was a picture of Pen a Des with Pen in a black sweater. I think before people maybe thought this was a continuity break on the part of the production crew, but I thought it might be intentional because of the black/white significance on the island. GOOD CATCH about the fact that Pen had a copy of the picture by the phone when the portuguese-speaking guys called her. Des orginally had his in a frame too, didn't he?

I don't think so. Did anyone else notice that when he was lying on the floor in his flat covered in paint the clothes he was wearing? To me it looked like the Dharma suit from the hatch he was wearing for three years. No?

Wow Tessa... I could not see the dharma logo but they were the same color coveralls & a white t-shirt under the coveralls like he was wearing in the hatch.....

white? is that the color you are refering to? cuz its technically all the colors... and also the typical paiters outfit.

Coming from the biz.... i know that a costuming designer would not have used similar colors as the room, for his outfit. so he would not have worn a dark paint suit or one colored red... if you get the examples... it wouldnt look right to the viewer.

I think those suits are a dime a dozen...
