No more like a light khaki... All the dharma jump suits or coveralls have the same color to them...

Desmond looks a certin way in it... How many buttons are undone, the color, the white t-shirt underneith... If we were not supposed to see the similarity I think they would have gotten a white one.. the red paint would have "popped" more that way... Or not put him in paint coveralls... Most people who are painting there own place I would say wear old clothes to paint not coveralls

I will chime in here... PENNY WAS THE ONE WHO IS HAVING HIM PAINT... she chose the red. i am sure she bought the ladder the paint and even the painter suit. She is the breadwinner.

Just cause she has money doesn't mean that she would have bought a painter suit... Come on you can do better

heres my 2 cents.

It was a dream...and often when you dream, things that you have seen or heard or experienced will pop in someway or another. so the coveralls he was wearing was his memory creating his image wearing the dharma uniforms. also the same with the song being played on the jukebox..and charlie playing guitar in the streets.

for this show.... all props are watched for scrutiny and hints... and the costume isnt a prop. the paint and the ladder are. the posters and things in the background. his costume was front and center... NO LOGO and very much like the typical painter outfit. Why would someone go all the way to london to slip him a dharma outfit...

it just really doesn make any sense. he wasnt wearing that outfit when he flashed back, or whenhe is drinking with charlie and he wasnt wearring it when he turned the key. so it being there when he was in his head is irrelevant...

and yes she bought it. she is taking care of him. she probably boguht him that tie. He couldnt even afford the picture. she bout it for them for 5 quid! thats like a lollipop... your not going to paint your house a color you dont like in a silly painters suit if you dont have money.... unless your woman says to then theres no choice.

You are both women and, tess you live at home with your dad... but from my experience and the expeirence of thousands out there. itis not unheard of for women try and change the place thier man lives in. and if they share it heck yes shes changing it.... HE EVEN USED all this in his breaking up with her. maybe you were both sleeping during that scene...

She bought it all. He doesnt have a job!...

Wasn't the picture Desmond had of them the one he had tucked into his book - the Charles Dickens one he was saving. And did they show what happened to the book after the hatch imploded??
