Dr. Jack Shephard

Dr. Jack Shephard is often seen as the main character of the series. He is a spinal surgeon and the de facto leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jack has control issues and trouble dealing with situations that he cannot fix. However, this attitude of solving problems through reason has given him the ability to function well in crisis. Sometimes, if he feels guilt or pain over a situation he can't fix himself, he will do anything he can to fix it, even borderlining on obsessive. Jack is, most of the time, in control of his life, emotions and situation he is in and is able to keep a cool head in tense situations. Jack is also the half brother of Claire Littleton, although neither of them is aware of this. Jack has formed very strong bonds with Kate and Juliet while he has been on the Island.

i decided "it was ok" i mean its good having some beach moments again, but the entire episode felt kinda isolated, i mean jack is still in the hydra, and there wasnt one scene over there

MMM good ish. Des gets drunk with the rich guy's brand of alcohol. It was huge becuase it meant that the greatest thing he could do in life was going to be on the island.


Beinng in desmonds flashback for the whole episode was richeous... I think the explosion opened up a region of his mind that most of us will never be able to. ESP....

It was okay...didn't suck, didn't really answer a lot either. I got the feeling that Desmond's whole "flashback" was kind of his way of dealing with what had happened to him. It was all in his head, but it gave him a sense of purpose to carry on. There's no doubt that he can see things in the future on the island, but I really think that all the easter eggs in the flashback were just him combining his past memories with what happened on the island up to that point.

here comes the toad!!!! saber in hand... and i agree. better than the juliet ep... I was hoping you would get to see her burn her hands in last weeks .... but this weeks flashbacks made up for that.

BEST episode so far! Minus the last five minutes of it,sorry Charlie.
I loved it,I agree with Toad. If you know me you probably know why. P.S I hate Penny's dad. Des is a great guy, and a very interesting storyline to follow.

One of my favorite episodes so far, very enlightening. Desmonds character gets more sympathetic, and his role is now more pivotal. I was surprised by the Charlie twist at the end, which I loved. I really like it when they pull a fast one that I don't see coming!
