Dad?

Ok so when that guy said to Alex that if her Dad found out...Something I don't remember, anyway he radios to Danny(R.I.P.), and says he needs Ben. 1. Apparently nobody informed whats his name Ben was in surgery, and 2. Alex is under the impression that Ben is her Father. I think they told her this because she was taken from Danielle at birth. If they aren't lying that would have to mean Danielle got it on with Ben. Ewww. She was pregnant before her team crashed. So why are they lying? And do we think Danielle and Alex will ever be reunited?

I don't think that they ever plan on Alex seeing her mother again... I would say that she does not even know who her real mother is... What I do wonder is who she thinks her mother is.... Or if she thinks she is part of the "research" that is going on there..

Yeah, they might have told her she was part of immaculate conception like Locke was told. It makes sense with Juliette being there and all.

I suspect that Ben has become the adoptive father to kidnapped Alex. It is hard to believe that Danielle knew exactly who he was when she captured Ben in the net and handed him over to the Losties. I think if she had known he was the father to her lost child foster or otherwise she would have tried to make him return her to him. (unless, she was part of the plan to get Ben into the losties camp??) I also suspect that Alex is very bright and has figured out that she does not belong there, but was taken. That is why she helped Claire escape with the baby, and seems to be fighting against the others in everything that she can.

Totally, I just don't think she has any clue that her real mother is on the other island.. She seems to be good.. The little trick in the grass last night reminded me of Danille home made traps and cover... She is a lot like Danielle in ways

I don't trust anything any of the others say - including weepy, soft-spoken Juliette (who will turn around and shoot someone without even blinking). Did Ben say that he had been on the island his whole life? Did Rousseau say that she had been pregnant when she and the 5 others were on their scientific expedition? So IF I believe either one of those two Ben couldn't be her bio dad... UNLESS he took a sabatical and left the island for a little while and met Danielle right before she left to go on her scientific expedition.

Yea I don't think that Mr. Linus is her biological dad, just who she has been told is her dad..

Danielle was pregnant when she arrived on the island. I THINK she said somewhere between 5-7mo.. She said that she delivered the baby girl herself and within a week the others had come and taken Alex...

Remember Danielle was married and on the research team with her husband and the rest of the team.. So Mr. Linus could not be the biological father

And wouldn't she know who her mother is versus who her father was if she was imacculated by conception, similar to locke case.
oohhh and wahat if Juliets sister has red hair, similar to lockes madre.

During last night's episode, I remembered that Danielle was already pregnant before she came upon the island, and never remembered her saying anything about someone named Ben. So, I looked on Main Page - Lostpedia and did some researching. Here is what I found about Danielle:

"Danielle Rousseau led a science expedition around the Pacific along with her lover Robert. The two were very much in love, and Rousseau carried in her possession a music box he had once given to her. During one science voyage, three days out from Fiji, a seven-months pregnant Rousseau picked up a distress signal broadcasting the Numbers. Changing course to investigate, a freak storm caught the ship in its wake, causing it to crash on the Island."

Interesting. Obviously we're not going to be able to figure this out right now. But maybe Alex is just meant to think that Ben is her father?

Good points all. My memory is really going. I forgot that Danielle was pregnant before she came to the island.
