Juliet's Sister

Ok so we know that Juliet's sister did infact get pregnant. She wanted her sister to be able to come along... Do we think that her sister was able to come along? I doubt that she would leave her sister behind with the new pregnancy and to make sure that it all worked... This seems to be her life work and was quite a break through when she ended up pregnant...

Or did her sister not want her to pass up the chance with this new company???

Just some new questions to ponder

We dont know. The sister probably died or stayed in miami... maybe she doesnt know... and thats why she wants to leave. besides. now i think that the sister has cancer or something becuase she was talking about beeing able to be stay alive for her baby's life.

Yes it did appear she had cancer and possibly had just been going through chemo or radition thearpy... Why would Juliet want to impregnate her sister if she is going through that... Just to prove that she could do it? I know there was an issue between Juliet and the ex about ethics

Her Ex said"Whos the ginnypig,its you sister isn't it." But apparently she knew about it,because she was really happy. I am leaning more towards the Dharma people took Juliette, I mean if they were willing to hit her ex with a bus to get ther to come, than I'm sure they have no problem forcing her to cooperate. They might have even told her they would harm her sister.

I think Juliet did leave her sister behind for two reasons.
1-because her sister wanted to her go and further the research that had helped her to conceive
2-because she was promised she could be back in six months well before the birth.

As for why she would impregnate a woman who was very sick with cancer...that could be a combination of things. First, I am sure it is her nature to push the envelope, which is how many great discoveries are made. But more than that it was something her sister had always wanted. Having a baby to live for would give her renewed hope and the strength to fight her illness. In the event that she did not survive the cancer, she would find comfort in being able to leave something of herself behind...her baby. Of course she knew that in the event she did not live to raise her child Juliet would.

Another little thing to add to the mix. Ethan was walking away from Juliette's sister's door as she walked up. He said hello to her in the hall. Maybe Ethan talked to her sister, and persuaded her to let Juliette leave.

What I don't understand is why we weren't given more information as to the sister's illness. My sister and I both assumed cancer only because she was wearing the scarf. But really, there was nothing in the ep that came out and said that's what she had. Only at the end were she and Juliet talking about her getting better.

Good point about Ethan. Perhaps her sister being pregnant was a trick by EThan in order for them to steal Juliet away. It was strange to see him come from her apartment, unless he was doing survellance. I feel that hanso is all about manipulation, its very disconcerting.

chemotherapy can result in temporary or permanent infertility. There would be no point in impregnating her while she was going through chemo because it would kill the baby, but afterward, if she wanted to become pregnant and she was told she was permanently infertile (especially if the cancer was of the ovaries), then it would make sense. It could be that she doesn't have cancer at all and that her physical appearance was due to whatever juliet was putting in her body to try and fix her infertility. Or maybe she has already gone through menopause. I'm sure there are a million more possibilities.
