Intercom and Jack's escape

Did i hear Alex's voice thrue the intercom?
Is it yet another set up by ben?

that whole scene sure seemed like a setup to get Jack to see Sawyer and Kate together...but that did sound like Alex on the intercom

I agree it was a total set up, and the voice did sound like Alex's. But, it does seem that they are able to mimick voices or replay taped voices...since Jack also heard his fathers voice on the intercom. Maybe Alex had said those words before to someone who was locked up...Someone like Karl. They simply used a recording of it to lure Jack out also.

I think Everything they do is planned ahead. They are very much into keeping "on schedule" the whole Dharma thing - Observe and Manipulate....

The recording of it is quite deep of an explanation... very good! i mean that would be assuming that Jack knows Juliets voice and they needed someone else. I dont think jack is in the know about Alex being on this island and such. so to him i think its just randm static and voice...

maybe Alex meant Jack, not Sawyer... and thats why she would have tried to help jack... but how would she hack the intercom and also wire it to unlock the door... etc... lots to put on a French girl, kidnapped and raised on an island...

but that is pretty much no GOOD. out of all the time for henry to NOT be watching the monitors.... He wasnt watching the sexytime in the cage... AND its convienient that noone is around so jack could just walk out and see those monitors... that door to the monitor room is left open too... as were the gun closet... just too easy... and yes it gets jack to let Hnry believe he'll be going through with the surgeyr...

and yes it'll all be different when he wakes up!

I agree with Frogmeister. If they have a video recorder (juliet's little movie for jack) and they have the video monitors to different locations around the island - who knows what they could record and play back. Edit out the name Carl and play for Jack.

Just because Jack doesn't know juliet or alex's voice doesn't mean that he can't be a pawn in THEIR game. He doesn't have to recognize the voice. I DO think he would probably recognize juliet's voice by now. She's be hanging around him a lot.

I think the intercom was part of the trickery... They have a plan.. a plan since the begining of the show and this is part of it.

Henry would have said something when he noticed jack near the monitors, instead he just slipped in and waiting for the conversation he expected after letting Jack see the monitors...

Jack knows they can mimic voices (or something along those lines) that's why he asks Kate to tell him the story he told her when they first met so that he would know it was actually her.

I heard it but i didnt make the connection. Jacks way more onto them and thier scheming that we think...

Also. Jack probably been putting it all together for the hours he has alone...

He knows they use costumes and play roles too... hes not going to be fooled again.

Plus that way one of the Others can't secretly go with a gun with Kate, because Kate could tell the wrong story and the Other would never know.
