When I finally figure out that people are deliberately screwing with me, I immediately go into "super-duper gullible mode". I come across as believing everything they say and approve of everything they do. And, I become the most incompetent person they've ever met.

These manipulators will soon become either absolutely enraged or bored to the point of actually believing I'm so utterly dense.

Jack, Sawyer, and Kate KNOW these people are jacking with them and they keep giving them ammunition to further control them.

Kate and Sawyer should sit in their cages and wallow in their own squalor and filth. Whenever the Others approach, they should fling crap like monkeys.

When Jack grabs a knife or scalpel, he should immediately fake hand tremors and "accidentally" cut himself. Then ask for a drink to calm his nerves.

When people try to play games with you, play your own, not theirs. It drives them mad.

Sorry for the rant.

That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about. They specifically told him the intercom had not worked for years, but they have used it numerous times to screw with him. And he should realize that.

He should not have reacted to it at all. Play dumb.

Sad to say that probably the biggest fault with the Losties is that as a rule, they are sane, and basically good and moral people who believe that everyone else must be as well.

I think it makes more sense that it was Juliette, not Alex. But then it could also be a set-up.

Besides...Alex was already taken back home by that point I believe.

To be honest I don't think this was a setup at all. Alex is clearly pissed off at the Others (and the voice was clearly hers) and she wanted to set Jack free. What would the Others would have to gain from showing Jack Kate and Sawyer? There were GUNS there, it's too dangerous, I'm pretty sure Alex just broke him out.

Home? Where is alex's home? I think that she's pulled up a nice new cave on the south side of the North Island. They are going for pretty cheap.

I think she was just given the boot from thier "premises". Either that or shes part of it too! long stretch, but by all means within lost mind tricks...


By no means is it clearly hers. Do we even know for sure if Alex knows about jack? we know she warned Kate about them killing Sawyer...

The OTHERS have to gain whatever thier ultimate goal is. We already know that Henry Gale had a big long 2 week plan to Mind-funk our heroes... but the schedule got pushed up... AKA.. CHANGE of plans!!! hence force, more plans oooh... ooh lets let Jack out in a completely abandoned Hydra? coincidence no. schemeing plans yes.

I think the entire thing was a set up. Whether they really were/are going to kill Sawyer, I'm not sure. I am leaning to yes. And they wanted Kate to know that so she would get off the fence already and realize she loves Sawyer and better DO something before it is too late. They made it so she could get out of her cage, they beat the stuffing out of him, Alex told her they were going to shoot him, ALL of it a set up to get Kate and Sawyer together. (And maybe showering her up and putting the sexy dress on her just to make double sure Sawyer wasn't in denial of his feelings for Kate) Then they set it up for Jack to 'escape' his shark tank, see them on tv acting out a scene in Roadhouse and Jack now just wants to leave the island, so the deal is made to do the surgery on Ben. Ben wins. Of course Jack threw a monkey wrench into the scheme in the end...but I believe Alex is on Ben's side and all of it was manipulation.

The one thing your forgetting is Kate and jack are going to be together. It was shown in the first episode ever. Sawyer has to be there to make it real and draw ot the complications of being a hot woman.
