Did Kate choose Sawyer?

Is it true that Kate has chosen Sawyer?

I was thinking about this this morning and i just cant believe it. Why would she wants to stay behind and let Saywer run away alone?

I definitely think Kate has chosen Sawyer. (big time) However, she knows (or believes) that she has no where to run.....plus Jack did not direct them to set Sawyer free .....ONLY Kate. I am pretty sure that is out of spite. I think Kate has sensed Jack's jealousy (especially when she visited him in his cell earlier) in this regard and so needs to play it cool...knowing that Sawyers survival could rest in Jacks hands. She saw how Jack reacted when she pleaded for Sawyers life earlier, he totally shut her down. Her leaving right now is not an appealing prospect to her because she would be leaving both of them behind to try to get off of one island and back to another.

Slightly bigger picture... Jack isn't going to fix Ben if Kate isn't safe.. Kate isn't going to leave without Sawyer... I think it will turn out that thy have to let Kate take Sawyer cause Jack is going to let Ben die if she isnt safe

Oh, I think she chose Sawyer alright. Did you not see what they did in that cage? I think it sealed the deal when Saywer asked her if she didn't mean it when she said she loved him when Pickett was beating him, and she couldn't say anything, but he was able to say he loves her too. I think it was too hard for her to give that part of herself away. You gotta admit she has the right to have trust issues.

In a Lost podcast a few weeks ago, the guys said that when Kate decided not to run without Sawyer, it was meant to show that she had picked him. It just wasn't as clear as it was supposed to be I guess.

I would have stopped watching the show (maybe) if she had picked Jack, because from a character and psychological standpoint it would have made no sense. The episode showed us that she is unhappy playing house with the good guy cop (or surgeon). She might wistfully want that life, but she knows it won't work. People are generally attracted to people who have similarities to their parents (ie-Sawyer and her biological father). On top of that, Sawyer understands her a billion times better than Jack ever will, and he takes her at face value, sees all the bad things she has done, and still loves her for it. Jack has judged her the entire series.

KATE is a woman. They can never choose what they want. She wouldnt leave without Jack either. She just has had lots of time and sheezy has gone down with sawyer since they been caged...... so her sexual release could only be with him. I dont know if she'll actually choose until the last Lost.

im serious. thats her big obstacle is to be herself and choose from the heart. shes always torn it seems

Not necessarily so. You have to pay close attention to the flashbacks becuase the parrallel the characters experience on the island, for that episode.

She did say she loved him, but she says in the flashback... i do love you, but i cant stay ( stay with you) etc...

And don't forget opposites DO attract . It seems logical that she and Sawyer go together and have done so , but the attraction between her and Jack is strong also . They are differant in many ways , but that is a thrill also . I guess you can love 2 people at the same time . Love someone and being IN love with someone else . Which one is she IN love with ?

I think she made a choice, and it was Sawyer. That said she can still feel strongly about not leaving Jack behind. As for Jack he did agree to do the surgery and in doing so saving Sawyers life. That's all the info Kate gave him. do it or he dies. He could have saw the two of them together and said fine they can have one another I just want off this island.

I think she chose Sawyer but only because she doesn't think she's good enough for Jack, like she wasn't good enough for her cop husband. I think she has obvious feelings for Jack, but she can relate more to Sawyer.
