Actually, I'm a Pastor's wife. I'm sorry if the fact the my computer screen faces one way and my tv faces another offends you (to the point of being so rude), so I can't see every single thing that happens every single minute of the episode. I do have an I.Q. of 158, so I know I am smart enough to record the episode so I can watch it later. I was just trying to have conversation with others on the board. Hi. I'm new here but I would like to share my theory. What if it was a Bible passage? We all know Lost is full of religion stories and importance. We can also see that in Eko's funeral, as Locke watches the stick and it was supposed to say: "Lift up your eyes and look north. John 3:05", as a passage of the bible. but instead, the second 'o' on "look" has a missed spot and looks exacly like "Lock" so the message would go directly to John Locke!

In the Old Testament or Torah, Jacob is the father of Benjamin. Anyone see similarities? I didn't even think about it until Larkin suggested it could be biblical. Ben says he had been on the island his whole life, which means at some point is time, someone would have to have been raising him. Either they could be blood relatives, adopted, or symbolically father and son through a leadership point of view. Jacob is obviously higher up on the food chain than Ben, but he is MIA and Ben seems to be in charge. What do you think?

That's what I thought too. I also think that Jacob is either not on the island right now or is very busy with something and is not keeping in touch with the Others, which is why Juliette has decided that it would be a good time to usurp Ben (aka Henry, aka Benry, aka Saw-guy, whoever ).


I think that's a definite possibility. There a still a lot of Losties that haven't even been introduced on the show yet.

Aren't the other's communication lines still down or something? Maybe that's why Ben is in charge and we don't hear any differently from Jacob.

They do have those short range radio's, like the one Jack used to communicate with Kate. Who knows if the eye patch man has one.

This is the closest to the truth I think. Jake Alex's boyfriend doesn't nessecarily mean Jacob, I think Jacob could well be the brilliant man in charge of everything. Kinda unlikely that this is the eye patch guy because I think he's just another poor sucker stuck in a hatch.

I'm a little confused, because Alex's boyfriend's name is Karl.
