And why would they have killed Jacob if they were paying attention to Jacob's list. If this list mattered so much, wouldn't Jacob's life be a bit more important. I think you are a bit confused.

Oh, and they said Shepherd wasn't on Jacob's list. (so, Jack) Which makes me think that Ben added him so that he could do the surgery.

Right about jacob, dont know why they would have killed him. Maybe he wanted to do something completely different with the list and the progression of the other's society. What we know is, he did exist, he made a list, and then hes now gone... very rarely on this show do people go away NOT as a result of being killed.

and there is obviously some dissention in the ranks. Juliet isnt telling Henry gale everything... maybe she killed him off. shes evil.com

I rewound and listened to that a couple of times. "They weren't on Jacob's list" - referring to Kate and Sawyer. They were bait to get Jack there, because he's the man!

The list that Michael was given did have Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley on it.

Is Jacob Mr. Eye Patch? I don't think so, the lists seem to come about from Others dispatched to infiltrate the camp. Is it possible there is another infiltrator still among the Losties at the beach? Yes!

On consideration though, as I posted elsewhere I believe that Eye Patch could be in charge of or monitoring the Cerberus system - so maybe he has been keeping an eye on things in the form of some weird black smoke!

My wife pointed out a very interesting idea - that Ben is actually the "good" Other who wants to fix things, make things better, and that Juliet is the one with the evil agenda. Ben realizes he is helpless to stop whatever is going on unless he manipulates people to do what he wants. If he dies, it's a free for all which will probably end with more dead Losties! Frankly he seems creepy but somehow slanted towards doing the right thing...

When he said he wasn't even on Jacob's list, I started racking my brain for anyone who might have been named Jacob in the past and came up with little, but do we know if the man Henry was talking about when he ws being held in the armory was him or is there still a brilliant mastermind running the show from somewhere on the island.
