 Benjamin "Ben" Linus
Benjamin "Ben" Linus is the leader of the Others on the Island. Ben arrived on the Island as a child, brought by his father Roger to work for the DHARMA Initiative. Ben takes orders from Jacob, and is the only person who visits and speaks with him. Ben's apparent goal is to keep the Island and its special properties secret from the outside world, and he goes to great lengths to achieve this.

far to obvious... i think those two are sending as many mixed signals Jacks way so that when they do want him to do something, they can manipulate him as they have been since day 1.
very rarely does LOST make things that easy |
