At the start of last nights episode we see Sayid but no Sunn or Jin? Not even a mention of them. What gives?

I guess they just weren't pertinent to the storyline this week. I think they cram so much in an episode, that they can only show the necessary characters. Just a glimpse of them walking around in the background would have been nice.

Oh yeah,Sayed was back,but no Sun/Jin.....Mabe recouperating in a tent from almost drowning and shooting someone..anyone get thes on tape to check if they're in the background somewhere?

I'm a bit irritated all around of this growing trend of big holes in the storyline that no one even acknowledges. In example: Nikki/Paulo suddenly appear and want to go places. Charlie wanders out of the jungle, is fine, and gets mad a Locke for not coming to say hi after the hatch explodes and apparently no one was looking for him or Ecko or Desmond. Sayid, Sun, and Jin return and apparently no one notices or cares, ESPECIALLY since they lost a boat! A good seaworthy boat. Isn't that worth having even a 3 second scene of them arriving back at the camp?

Well Nikki and Paolo were talking about how they never get involved in things, so that explains a little why they were never around. But yeah it's still stupid how now they are such dynamic characters when all of the first two seasons they never even had a line.

I guess since Sayid made it back and they were all together were supposed to just assume they also made it back since he didn't say anything about them.... You would think that Sayid would have at least made mention about what happened while they were looking for out favorite prisoners

I so don't like having Nikki and Paolo. Spoilerfix says they may get a flashback showing what they have been doing on the island- it would help to get us to know them.

I have to admit I was a bit upest too, then I remembered this is the same show that waited till season 3 two give us any clue to why there are polar bears on a tropical island. I'm just going to assume that Jin ans Sun are having alone time and that when Sayid checked in with Locke he told him everything. If I don't I will never get to sleep thinking about it.

Every episode usually follow one characters POV for those days. So think of it like this. we dont see the lives of other losties who don;t interact with out primary character for the episode.

Another thought is that crazy S happens all over this island so its becoming a little more commonplace for wierdness. Maybe Sun and Jin and Sayid came back soaking wet that niught and crawled into bed dissappointed. we dont see them go to bed all the time but we know it happens.

Some scenes dont actually help push the plot along. 3 seconds or not... they show us what they want and its from those clues that we'll find the answer... not what isnt shown.

( and they only have 43 mins of time to fill after commercials so its not a ton of time every week.)

Yes they cleared up thier absence quite well with that discussion.

Emerge yourself in the story for a second and be one of them whose a scared follower. our main characters probably didnt interact with them... what with all the jack is in charge no sawyer, no locke. no hurley, other attacking, guy in the hatch... lots of fighting over power. They probably just sat back and made whoopie. shes hot... you know it.

and we always follow one main charcter per episode. introducing too many people in the first season would have been too much. with the whole hatch episodes, we saw interactions of those people in the KNOW... ( and since they were keeping henry gale in the hatch a secret, we wouldnt see scene with them talking to random losties... )

its only now that jack and sawyer and kate are gone that other losties have to be in "the know"... otherwise they can't help.


again plot points that need to be pushed, are pushed for that main character.

we assume everyone goes to the bathroom too ....
