Two Islands, it appears that there is more than one island. So, why do you think the losties never noticed it?

Is there some sort of magical thing that makes them not see it? Or was it sheer ignorance? Or do some of you think that Ben was lying, and there really is not 2.

by the way. i havent posted on here since season 2 sorry for the absence but yeah i really think its possible that theres another island thats been overlooked. i mean it it didnt look that big.. and they did come from the sea it appeared when they hijacked Sayids sailboat so its possible i suppose. I cant think of a way to fake it .

You know, that's very hard to say for certain. Benjamin is a liar, and I don't trust him at all, but it sure looked like an entirely separate island when I looked at it the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th times.

Then why was the season opener showing the plane pieces landing on 'the same island' where the Othertown is, and the 'lab' island across the 'Alcatraz Straight'? I get they have a sub but...

Its all the same island. It just curves around. They got to both Losties camps by foot.

maybe its just a magnetic reflection. or something to do withbeing on the other side of the glass.

I think there are two islands but.... I think the Losties and the Others are on the same island and Ben was lying (once again) about the island he showed Sawyer being where the Losties are. If Sawyer tryed to get home and acually made it to that island he would be even farther from "home" then before.

As others have said here, I feel there are 2 islands (well, at least 2...who knows if there are other ones...) but that the little one that they have Sawyer, Kate, and Jack on now is not the one where the Others village is. This one is too small to be where the village is. Seems like it was a zoological site, with the Hydra station and the cages and stuff. I'd guess there's not much else on it.
