Dr. Jack Shephard

Dr. Jack Shephard is often seen as the main character of the series. He is a spinal surgeon and the de facto leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jack has control issues and trouble dealing with situations that he cannot fix. However, this attitude of solving problems through reason has given him the ability to function well in crisis. Sometimes, if he feels guilt or pain over a situation he can't fix himself, he will do anything he can to fix it, even borderlining on obsessive. Jack is, most of the time, in control of his life, emotions and situation he is in and is able to keep a cool head in tense situations. Jack is also the half brother of Claire Littleton, although neither of them is aware of this. Jack has formed very strong bonds with Kate and Juliet while he has been on the Island.

If there is another island (which I'm not totally sold on yet) that might be where "Henry" sent Michael and Walt last season. Maybe now they're just captives on another island. Maybe that is "home" for the Others and the Island is work.

I take it that the maybe, maybe not revelation of another island was what the show's big "secret revealed" teaser was all about . . ?? Lame if not entirely surprising.

From the first season....

I remember hurly and the boys looking for high ground to find the radio signal. I also remember from last season desmond following the old hatch guy back to his boat around the island. Also they found the pirate ship around another side of the island... and then how far around the island did sayid and them go becuase logically after you come around half of the island you should be abble to see the other one...

point being they never saw this other island at those points...

henry Gale says his one island is about twice the size of Alcatraz...

well let me tell you alcatraz is small. I think he's lying yet again...

and more importantly He's been on the island all his life... how would he have any idea about the size of alcatraz... and seeing something about it on tv wouldnt do it.

more lies... it was probably a mirage... they did shoot sawyer up with hallucinagins...

Two islands would explain the need for an underwater hatch. I believe that there is an underwater tunnel that runs between the islands. Otherwise, why would they put a hatch out in the ocean.

So they can study marine biology. There is no need for a tunnel because of the submarine. But I do like the idea of their being a tunnel, it could be the way Locke finds to attack the others.

Yes, I'll trust the drunk man and his judgement on which island is which.

Have we forgotten he was completely out of it when he sailed around the island for a few days?

The first time I saw the season 3 opener I thought there were 2 islands, but then Ben told Goodwin that if he ran he could get to the wreckage in x amount of time( can't remember specifics right now). This made me think that they were all on the same island if Goowin was going to run. What's the deal? How did Ethan get to one camp and Goodwin get to the other camp? I know they have a boat and a sub, but would Ben be left immobile - without the use of either? Is there a tunnel that those guys could run down. Where did that power cord that Sayid and Hurley both follow up the beach (Season one)originate?

There's an island in Greece has the name "Hydra". The Hydra island is one of the Saronic Islands. Is it possible that the writers of LOST use this name for a purpose?

I think the Hydra is too small to be noticed when Desmond sailing around the main island.
