Locke-Jack Similarities

So, i couldn't help but come up with a few similarities between how the pilot episode of Lost opened with Jack and how this episode opened with Locke. I'm not giving this a lot of credit as far as story development, but i found the similarities interesting...any thoughts?

1. Both episodes open with the camera focused on the characters right eye. (this is a reocurring theme, so its not too interesting, but still a similarity).

2. After paning back, the camera shows the characters lying on their back in the middle of the forest.

3. Both characters find themselves alone in the forest after some sort of major accident (plane crash for Jack, hatch ex/im plosion for Locke)

4. Both characters notice something running around in the forest around them, and later see what/who was running around them (Jack heard/saw Walt's dog...Locke heard/saw Desmond).

So...i thought i had a few more, but i guess these are the only ones i can remember right now. Anyone able to think/observe any others that i may have missed? And again, any thoughts?

Jack awakes the leader of the group, and as Locke gains consciousness he takes it upon himself that he will be the leader of the losties.

They both start trying to fix things.

I did notice all of that. As I was watching, I thought, 'This is all a bit familiar...'

I was expecting to see some sort of mass destruction of the hatch. That would have made the deja-vu even more... deja-vu ish...

kinda of a long shot, but there different in the sense that jack was a leader and locke was a loser before the crash. Locke is a leader/hunter now versus the farmer before hand. Jacks character kinda of seems to be more consistant.
on the other hand, both of there fathers were pricks.

In the begining of the season 3 the camera starts close in on Juliet's eye. Before she burns her silly litte hands on those crazy muffins...

ASLO, Desmond's first Hatch episode also starts with A close up on his eye i think...

Maybe lots of what the islands mystery are in the "eyes of the beholder"

Maybe the second island wasnt seem before now becuase everyone had settled on the fact that they were lost on a lone island... even if they saw it they probably wouldnt believe it..

Characters who want to overcome thier ailments seem to do that ( rose etc...) characters who see everything in negative light usuall end up dead...
