Anyone know what all that was about at the end with Hurley and Desmond?

I didn't get that either. I vaguely remember Jack giving a similar speech but I can't remember who was missing. And that time maybe it was Locke standing out by the ocean? Or maybe I dreamed it.

I just assumed Hurley was talking about what Desmond said earlier in the episode...that Locke was going to give a speech about going to get Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. Somehow Desmond knew Locke was going to say that, and it freaked Hurley out (and rightly so...)

Yes, that was what caused Hurley to get a bit wierded out.

Well its actually real simple.. In the jungle Desmond told Hurley not to worry about Jack, Kate and Sawyer because Locke was going to find them and take care of that. When Hurley responded with "But he's trying to save ecko right now" Desmond told Hurley that Locke WILL take care of everything because he said so in his speech.
Ofcourse that was a bit odd BUT when Locke actually GAVE that speech, Hurley couldnt believe his ears.

Desmond has got future telling abilities.. no doubt. The actual question should be.. did he got that from the implosion or did he had it before?

Thats what I was thinking, he was the only one naked! So maybe he went through a time shift.

In a future eps, desmond builds something... hmmm, could it deal with what he went through? a time machine? or a blender for a mixed drink?
