What are we coming up with on crazy womans daugther? Is she still part of the "village" or is she on the run. Also, who is the guy she is looking for, other than the one in the cage. Has anyone searched to try and find his name in any Stephen King books or anything?

I beleive that Alex is still with the village, but if she truly had a good chance to get away, she would take it.

As of Karl, I cannot find his name in Google or recaps of books.

Why pick Alex's dress for Kate? Are they the same build? And why does she even have a dress like that? And why is she interested in Karl?

Why do I start my questions with "and"?

Well, I think Alex is interested in Karl because he is most likely the only person there within the same age range as her, and Karl did not seem like that bad of a guy.

These people are the only family that Alex has ever known. I'm not sure she would abandon all she has ever known so easily. It would take a lot of balls for her to run off into a jungle full of bears and security system monsters and of course, I'm sure she knows they will eventually find her. Maybe that is why Carl was locked up. He keeps running and keeps getting caught. And she can see by how they treat him that it is better to just stay put.

Well, as I said, if she found a sure way to get out she would. I think she realises that these people she has grown up with are not good people, so I think she does not regard all of them as "family".

Alex is a smart girl, so she will not leave until she knows the bears security systems and others will have a small chance of getting to her. Besides a Alex and Rousseau reunion episode must happen eventually.

The fact that she helped Clarie get away makes me think she is either scared of these people or feels like they are not the "good guys" they say they are. She may want to run away but, to where? Do we believe she knows about her mother being out there. If she went to the Losties camp she could get killed.
As for Carl I'm not sure. It feels like they have bonded. Maybe she's in love with him.
