Bernard Nadler

Bernard Nadler is a tail section survivor of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 and the husband of Rose. He is the only tail section survivor that has not been killed, captured, or assimilated in to the Others. He wasn't seated in the tail section, and was only there when the plane crashed because he was using the bathroom then. Bernard cares very much for Rose and feels a need to fix things, like her cancer, not dissimilar to Jack.

I dunno maybe jack and benry will come to a compromise, like jack says he wants to go back to help the other survivors out. But I think hes telling the truth since there is probably some benefit for him being on the island his entire life.

No, Jack won't! I think if I found out that he was completely without morals like Michael, I might actually give up on the show. That's so totally out of touch with the Jack I believe in that I might! If he does agree, I know for a fact it will be only until the moment is right for him to turn things to his advantage.

With that said, the more I think about it the more I think Ben is still lying, but god knows what more he could be covering up! Does anyone else seriously think Michael and Walt were going off to be rescued btw? I don't think so, not by a long shot. Ben told them how to get out, my bet is they'll find nothing out there.

With all of this said, being Lost I'll end up being entirely wrong.

And lastly, in honor of Ben Linus, I christen his second in command Tom Snoopy. Now if Charlie's last name were Brown believe me I'd be rolling on the floor laughing right now.

Ben is lying and if Jack was stupid enough to beleive him, (He is not) Lying Ben would only let him go back to the beach.

NO! Ben is a lier! I don't have any concrete reason for not believeing him, other than The ten meteric butt laods of lies he has told in the past. He gives me the creeps and, I just plain don't want to believe him. He reminds me of a slug leaving a trail of slime where ever he goes. YUCK!

I think he said - "the whole world is on the other side of the glass."
He is tempting Jack. I agree with Lizard 2112. Jack couldn't take a deal like Michael did. Jack would not be able to leave without knowing his friends are OK.

I would ask what Ben means by "home." Very Clinton-esque, but essential with this group. I don't think Jack will make a deal unless he can use it to help his friends...but I'm going to wait and see.

I believe Ben is telling the truth. He keeps saying that we are the good guys, and you(losties) are the bad guys. I think the writers are telling us to take him at his word. Our losties have all done something wrong in their lives as seen by there flashbacks. I believe that is why the show is told in flashback, to show the sins and and connect the characters, to bring them all to Austrailia and in turn to the island. In staying with one of the themes of the show they are all sinners in some way. Why in real life would we trust any of them. I believe that they are on the island to either, A: be punished for these mistakes or B: in some way make amends. We still don't know much about the Others and the reasons for doing what they do. If the Others are the "good guys" it doesn't bother me at all. Some of the most interesting and sympathetic heros of all time, in movies, tv, and books have been anti-heros. I for one believe Ben.

The good guys are the side you happen to be on--"God Is With Us"on both sides--as seen in Iraq now--
