Others expecting plane crash?

Where the others expecting a plane to crash?
It seemed to me that they immediately knew what to do.. and/or all seemed to be ready for orders on what to do.

I don't think they were expecting that plane crash,but they were expecting a crash happening again..

Looks like the practiced for it...like a drill.

They obviously weren't expecting the crash at that moment, but I do think that this is how new recruits are brought in. The question I have is are those new recruits destined to come to the Island through fate, or did the unseen forces at work amongst Hanso Foundation make it happen? This would also mean arranging things so that Desmond could not enter the numbers and thereby set off the electromagnetic force to pull them down in the first place.

I believe that these people are the Dharma scientists, or their children, and that they each have different tasks (Ethan - medical, Juliet - zoological/animal behavior, etc.)

Can't wait for episode 2!!!

Lizard, good thoughts. It did seem like they had some kind of plan in place, at least among "Henry" (Ben)?, Ethan and Goodwin. The "earthquake" - electro-magnetic event, seemed to catch them off guard. Do these people know about Desmond? - that he was down in the swan hatch? This new place is like an old abandoned experimental Zoo. Weird!!!!

Or a "in case of plane crash, start acting like spying scientists..."

Lizard...you bring up a good point. Maybe some of these folks were on Rosseau's team and they disappeared and joined Dharma?

I guess i don't see it like that at all. The were obviously caught off guard by the earthquake (electromagnetic event). They ran outside simply because they wanted to connect with others. (if you've been in an earthquake, you know the last place you want to remain is INSIDE...it sucks).

After being outside, they looked up and saw the plane split apart. Benry, being their leader (or at least i'm assuming at this point), was quick to action and called two of his go-to guys to investigate. I mean, if i saw a plan break into pieces above me on an island, i would want to go check it out!

At this point, i don't see any reason to read more into it than that. They were in an earthquake, ran outside, saw a plane crash, and then sent to people to investigate.

But Benry told them to bring back lists...not go help people.
