Lightbulb Stephen King - Carrie

The bookclub was discussing a book of Stephen King's Carrie

What i saw was the 'old' style book cover just showing half of Carrie's face on the cover. But appearantly, they used three different covers..

ive uploaded them to see here..

Also Ben demands about King's book in 2x16

By the way Stephen King wrote about Lost a few times in his column in Entertainment Weekly

Any ideas on this one?

Stephen King - Carry - Synopsis:

Quote:
In one way or another, everybody abused Carrie. This sixteen-year-old misfit was forbidden everything that was young and fun by her fanatical mother. She was teased and taunted by her classmates, misunderstood by her teachers, and given up as hopeless by almost everyone.

But Carrie had a secret: She possessed terrifying telekinetic powers that could make inanimate objects move, a lighted candle fall, or a door lock. Carrie could make all kinds of startling bizarre, and malevolent things happen. And so she did one night, when feeling scorned and humiliated…and growing angrier and angrier…she became the vengeful demon who let the whole town -- and all the people in it -- feel her power.

Maybe they bought the books on half.com?

Is the black chick in the first two pictures the lady who told Hurley to go back to camp? And talked to Michael?

I wondered what happened to her.

I have the '74 copy. It was the first Stephen King book I ever read. I think it may have been the first book he published or at least that's the one that put his name out there.

Well his first real published book was "In a half world of terror", that was before he went to college, and before he wrote "Carrie" but yes Carrie was the first book that truly sold, and turned heads.
