Good job, thanks for the research! That's very interesting; I love stuff like that. So the question is: What was the deal?, Who were the negotiators? And what was the bad trade?

If the deal was in this same episode it could either be either Kate's deal with Miles or Miles deal with Ben. It could also have something to do with Claire and Aaron. The ending of "Eggtown" made it ironic when earlier Claire says to Kate "You should get one [a baby] yourself some day." I liked that.

Any thoughts on the deal and who got the bad end of it? Hey, Lonesome Cowboy, did you find that at wikipedia?

Egg-town is a term that refers to the days of bartering, during the Great Depression. A traveling salesman would have to barter his candy or tobacco or shoelaces for different commodities. A poor exchange would be for eggs, a relatively common item that is also highly perishable. Nobody wants to trade for eggs from a traveling salesman because they have their own, so the salesman who accepted an egg in exchange was forced to accept a bad deal. .

The term "egg-town" represents a deal with undesirable outcomes in either case.
