It was definitely orchestrated by her, even though the whole time he thought he knew what was going on and she didn't!

It reminds me of The Long Con, where Sawyer tells Cassidy a long con is where you get the mark to think it's his/her idea but really it was your idea all along. Ironic because Cassidy thinks it's her idea to learn the long con when really Sawyer gave her the idea so that SHE could be his long con!

The totally great thing about that episode is that even though die hard fans know there is always a parallel between the current events and the flashback scenes of any episode, still I was totally shocked that the whole time Sawyer was conning the Losties. He used a long con to get the guns back in that episode. Kate thought AnaLucia was after the guns and that it was her idea to warn Locke about it. Locke thought it was his idea to hide the guns. And so on. I guess I would be an easy mark for a good con man. Especially if that con man was Sawyer.

Sawyer would have really respected Elsa, if only he knew the story. Her long con was great.

I agree that sayid is a deep and interesting character and i too would love to see more of his story.

so, do you think that him meeting up with her in the coffee shop was random? that it was orchestrated by her and not by him?[/quote]
