Yeah, I agree. We already learned from Desmond, Charlie, and Mrs. Hawking that "the universe has a way of course correcting." There is no way out. Makes me wish I could tell Jack that in the most recent (chronologically) flash forward. I'd like to give him a big hug.
One thing, if the future is pre-determined, does that mean that they should have never gotten off the island and their eventual going back is the universe course correcting? OR were they just as meant to get off the island in the first place as they were of going back? Meaning, Jack and Hurley shouldn't freak out and feel guilty about going back to civilization because they were meant to, and then they wee mreant to go back? My head hurts.
