I mentioned this somewhere else but I think it deserves its own thread because it is really quite interesting!
The word "ho ho" was featured at least four times in the last episode!!! I do remember Hugo saying it on two different occasions but thought he was just rambling incoherently.
- When Detective Mike asks Hugo what he was running away from in the convenience store, he replies "I was running away from the ho ho's".
- According to Hugo's own words, Charlie was standing "by the Ho Ho's" when he sees him in the garden of mental home!
- The chemical symbol of Holmium (HO - atom model) can be seen in the background in the mental hospital just after the scared Hugo receives the visit from Matthew Abbadon. See pic:

Holmium (HO) is one of the radioactive elements, discovered relatively late in the 20th century, and has very high magnetic properties (rings a bell?)
- In the last flash forward of the episode Hugo and Jack play the game of HORSES with the basketball. Jack ends the game after getting letters H and O.
- H is the the 8th letter of the alphabet and O is the 15th letter!!! HO=815!!!
- HOLM is an English word for a small and round island, probably derived from old Latin/Greek where it meant "island". This was how Stockholm got its name, and its Latin name was Holmium.
Though nobody is quite sure what the words Ho Ho quite mean everything points towards "the island" - seems that the Island "needs them" and wants them to return.
Btw, Abbadon (surname of the creepy Oceanic attorney who visited Hurley in the funny farm) is the name of the death angel in the Book of Revelation, and it means "destroyer". (I was reminded of Scatman Crothers of The Shining - he did look a lot like him) In urban slang, "ho ho" is a word for a black person who behaves and lives like a white person - funny then that that HO symbol should appear just as Matthew Abbadon was exiting the room!
I wonder if this symbol is just a one-episode occurence or whether it will have a deeper significance....Your thoughts?
