I don't think this makes him a 'killer' as the word is used in this thread it seems like it means 'murderer'. I don't agree that he is gravitating toward being a violent person or that he is going to start killing people. I think he will do what he has to do to survive and protect the other Losties. There is a difference. But once he is on that path, can he get off? Soldiers kill during war but they manage to get off that path. And people don't call them 'killers'.

were you old enough to be aware of the treatment VietNam vets got upon returning home from war during the years after 1969?
they were touted as babykillers
many were never able to transition from their lives of violence
many suffered from mental/emotional problems the rest of their lives
many committed suicide
many never adjusted back to being a productive member of society
many wanted to go back because they at least understood their life there
folks responf to these things in various ways. some homicidal. some suicidal. some outwardly appear unaffected and normal.
