It does seem unnecessary to say "Every living person" -- that alone is reason for me to keep it on the backburner of my brain as being potentially significant. Maybe it will connect with something later.

You have to admit, that word choice is EXTREMELY important in the show. Just one example I'm thinking of right now is the fact that in TtLG when Jack (carrying a staff--HELLO!!!) leads the Losties (aka: Israelites) to the radio tower, Naomi says to him something like "What did you do in the real world, before you became Moses?" That was only one word too, but it's not exactly a throwaway line, eh? More like a smack in the face telling audiences "Pay attention, Couchpotatoes! There are allusions being made here."

I'm with you, Wednighter, and am not going to start snidely dismissing anyone else's comments at this point or any time soon. You just don't know. And isn't it more interesting to hear what other people think, even if you disagree? Otherwise you may as well pull a chair up to a mirror and pontificate to your heart's content.
