My Ipod froze one time a few months ago and I took it to the Apple Store and they just gave me a new one. No questions asked.

I did have to scedule an appointment to see a tech, you can't just show up.

If you have your music saved on your computer you can always re-sync your Ipod.
I think it is a great product.
