But you have to admit that we don't actually know that pregnant women on the island die ONLY from...being pregnant on the island. We only saw one supposedly pregnant woman die while in Juliet's care. We don't have any idea what kind of experiments the Others were putting those women through. Not even the Others themselves know that because the top level Others HID their lab and experiments from their own people. Sketchy much? Juliette herself injected Claire with some random drug to make her sick. She deliberately made Claire violently sick under Ben's orders.

You didn't notice Cindy's klassic "deer in the headlights" look of a branwashing victim? Much like Karl's when he was rescued from the Clockwork Orange-style re-education room by Sawyer, Kate, and Alexandra. What kind of people need to brainwash their own people if what they're doing is REALLY in those people's best interests? The Others are not children, even Karl and Alexandra. Many seem to have had advanced schooling. The "Sheriff" lady reads Chinese characters*. Juliette is an ob/gyn. Ethan was a surgeon. Clearly some of them can do complicated and extensive investigations because check out the detailed filed on each and every Lostie. They are intelligent people. If Ben is doing "the right thing" and his group really is "the good guys" why keep so many of his people in the dark? Maybe because they ARE good people and if they really knew what was going on and why they'd mutiny. Ben himself even said that he tells them they can leave any time even though they can't "because some can't make the full emotional commitment yet." Well, DUH...not if they don't have all of the information. Not if they are being lied to. And surely they must feel it, don't you think? They feel they are being lied to and that's why they distrust Ben and eachother and their purpose on the island? Mikhail, Bonnie and whatsherface in the Looking Glass. They all suspected they were being used and lied to. And why wouldn't they?--They were routinely ordered to lie to eachother.

Lastly, it's really Ben who is ultimately responsible for Libby and AnaLucia's death. He had rilly rilly detailed files on everyone. He knew that Michael would become violent if his son became a pawn. While were at it, if the Others are such good guys why separate a father and son, who they know were only just reunited? Why not kidnap Michael too and keep him in contact with Walt? What kind of good people steal children?

Not JUSTIFYING the Losties' killing of anyone actually, though it probably seems that way, but Hurley and Sawyer and the other Losties who killed Others (can't remember each and every one right now) in that last episode were all still raw from the deaths of someone close to them and who could possibly think clearly in that position?

*which is a little sketchy to me: why Chinese characters if it's a Thai tattoo? Thai has its own characters separate from Chinese. A slip-up on the producers' parts? I don't know.
