"the hero twice over"
I was reading some posts on another LOsT message board and they were discussing this line in the season 3 finale.
MALE DOCTOR: Can I help you?
JACK: Just checking her chart.
MALE DOCTOR: I'm sorry I'm Doctor Hamill, Rob. The new chief of surgery, I don't think we've met yet.
JACK: Jack Shephard.
DR HAMILL: Doctor Shephard, the hero. Twice over.
People were debating why Dr. Hamill said "twice over"
Was he refering to the two people he saved from the car wreck. OR
Was he refering to two seperate events where Jack is a hero.
One being the car wreck and the other something to do with the island.
In other words people were taking this line as a hint that it was a flashforward.
I agree that it is entirely possible Dr. Hamill was making some reference to the island, but my opinion is that he was simply talking about saving two people.
What do you guys think?
