Handwritten dharma books

what were those books that were supposed to be sent from the Pearl to those guys back at Dharma doing out in the middle of nowhere? that was kinda wierd..

My theory is that The Pearl is just another station being observed. I bet there are cameras hidden in there as well. Footage is sent to the actual HQ. The people in The Pearl 'think that their job is most important' and do it to their fullest capabilities. Dharma HQ is sitting somewhere laughing their arses off because all these people take their jobs very seriously.

I hope that came out well. I have it all worked out in my head, I'm just not good at transferring thoughts to words.

I thought that too, and it actually showed a few camera's in the pearl in that episode.
I thought it was all some sort of test or closed down abandoned experiment...until last night(season finale), now I do belive there is something very serious going on here....just dont know want.

Notice that when Kate read from one...the times were "0400" and "0415"? Using the numbers everywhere...
