I think Hurley's gentle personality reminded her of her husband. (forget Hurley's invisible friend, Dave, that was just a conincidence).

Her giving away the boat (she said she didn't sail) could have been a therapeutic "letting go" recommended, perhaps, by her psychiatrist.
Coincidence, again.

wow, just watched this episode last night and totally didn't notice that Libby was Elisabeth. Thanks tsimer, I've gotta start paying more attention. That wig was pretty bad.

Enough with all the Libby hating. have you noticed that Hurley's Dave only appears when Libby is near? I think that Dave is Libby's hubby. The malicious things Dave did to Hurley could vey well be his jealousy at Hurleys growing relationship with Libby. The boat--I agree with the idea that she gave it away as therapy--I think she was in the hospital because of how traumatic Dave's death had been (open door for many crazy death scenarios). Libby's suspicious behaviors can all be explained as easily as any other Lost character's.

Okay, I think I need to post more often 'cause there's no need to be this passionate about this--whew!
