anyone catch what they said in the woods while everyone was being shot with tranquilizer darts?

i thought i heard something about libby, but right now i have completely forgotten.

Yeah, I thought I heard "Elizabeth"

There was one that was definitely saying Elizabeth. What were some of the other whispers that we have figured out in the past, were they of past people who have met there demise on the island?

Well, that bird that said Hurley's name...maybe it was Libby giving a warning...and the whisperers knew about it, or something.

The bird that came swooping down after the first whisper was huge and really weird lookin. Anybody catch that?

That bird also made an appearance in the the S1 finale. I don't know why I remember something so obscure, but when I saw that bird last night I was all like, "It's the one from Exodus!" My friends just told me to shut up and watch the show. lol

If you can remember when you saw the bird in S1, try and come up with the time.

I think the voices are either the voices of those who have died as a warning to the castaways, or they're just another technological tool of the clearly advanced and sophisticated Others.

I know i heard "Elizabeth" among the whispers... do you think Libby ever told Hurley her name was Elizabeth? (Libby is a short nickname for Elizabeth) Maybe the Hurley Bird (who catches the worm) and the whispers of "Elisabeth" WERE warnings to Hurley (as suggested by Tsimer) by... the black smoke (made up of the souls of the deceased on the island)? Tell me to lay off the Virgin Mary Statues!
