Sun-Hwa Kwon
Sun-Hwa Kwon (née Paik ?) (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Baek Seon-hwa, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Paek So(n'hwa) is one of the middle section survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. She was traveling on the plane with her husband, Jin-Soo Kwon. Their marriage has been very unstable, on and off the island, mainly due to Jin's controlling and violent nature and also because of Sun's many secrets that she will go to great lengths to protect even if it involves hurting others e.g. the maid in "The Glass Ballerina". She is currently pregnant with Jin's child, and according to Juliet the pregnancy will kill her in two months like every other pregnant woman who conceived on the island.

Actually they don't explain the drug plane being there, because desmond doesn't say anything about another system failure.
Also it doesn't explain the loss of navigational systems on board oceanic flight, remember the piloy saying that they were lost for a few hours?. It only explains for the crash.

I didn't say that they explained everything, just that they explained some things--a lot more than they did in last season's cliff-hanger.
As to the drug plane, I was speculating. The shipwrecked Black Rock could also be explained by the electromagnetic qualities of the island (before Hanso and Dharma set up shop there). Perhaps the island is like a South Seas Bermuda Triangle. The electromagnetic waves wax and wane and pull the unsuspecting to their doom (does that sound sinister enough? he asks himself).
Well, that's all that I can think of for now about loose ends.

My thought was that it had been yanked all the way to the island by "the incident." The bodies were looked as though they had been there for years.
Maybe the Pearl hatch was abandoned because of The Incident, and the experiment changed from the buttons not doing anything to really doing something. (just another thought).
