The flying thing that said Hugo

What's up with the flying green thing that called out Hugo?

dang, I totally forgot about the bird thing...so much to process...

i played it back on my DVR with NO sound in the room but the TV and it did sound like it said Hugo, and I instantly thought about Libby, almost like she was trying to warn him of something.

DUDE! do you remeber on the ep where they first saw the smoke? a CG bird flew down and made some noise, and everyone decided it said "hugo"

Or did it? Or was it just the power of suggestion that made us think that was what it was saying. He asked Sawyer and he said "Yeah, just before it
pooped gold" (something like that) i got the impression that Sawyer didn't think it said Hurley.

yes but if that was the case then y did Hurley mention it in the 1st place?

If you listen carefully it really doesn't sound much like Hurley. It reminded me of when we used to play records backwards (those were flat vinyl discs that
we got music from back in the day) and it sounded like nothing. But when someone said it's saying "Turn me on dead man" or "Paul is dead" the next time you played it you were convinced that's what is was saying.
I think Hurley was just spooked to begin with and thought the flying creature
was out to get him.
