The Psychic

Ok my friend and I believe that the guy who's daughter 'died' is also the psychic that sent claire on the plane to l.a. The reason we think he told Eko that his wife made it up was to make sure Eko got on the Island.

any thoughts?

Yup, that was definitely him. What I am curious about is why he told Eko that he was a fraud. And was this conversation that he had with Eko before or after he met with Claire? Did his daughter coming back from the dead have an effect on his psychic abilities? So many questions...

I thought that guy was the one who tried to heal Rose and failed. But maybe it was also the Claire's psychic as well.

Claire's psychic friend and Rose's healer friend are two different people, but that was Claire's psychic who wanted Eko to go away.

yeh thats right, hes the psychic not the healer. I think he's genuine and sed that to protect his daughter from consequences of it being a miracle and also to get eko on the flight.

Are you sure he's genuine? Maybe he was told by his daughter what to tell Clair... she seemed to be guiding Eko to the same place!

My thought is that Richard (or whatever the psychic's name is) was a fraud. But he was eventually able to really 'predict' things. I'm thinking that Claire was his first 'real' prediction and that was why he was so adament on her doing what he saw... because it was real.
Or he might just have a thing against women giving their babies up for adoption. *shrug* Who knows.

...or Dharma told / paid him to convince Claire onto OA 815, and tell Eko his story of the false miracle so he'd close the investigation and have no reason not to board the plane. It's right at the same time that Eko saw him that he was 'consulting' with Claire, and giving her the ticket and $$$.

Maybe he's just what he says he is, a fraud.

Pretty obvious it was him. Another nice twist. Not sure about telling Eko. Maybe he did "foresee" that.

I yelled out "It's Claire's psychic" so loud.

I don't know if he's a fake or not.I feel like he is. Eko seems to know when he hears a lie.
Did anyone catch where they were? ( Eko and the psychic ) I thought it was Nigeria. That's not where Claire saw him. I wonder if the wife and kid left him. I don't remember them in Claire's flashback. This show gets more and more twisted each week I LOVE IT!
