Okay!!! Before you say it, yes other people have died on the island that don't fit into this group. That said, I just find it odd that, both Shannon and A.L. where shoot (in the gut) in the same episode as they had "un-wed relations."
Both did the Nasty and then ended up dead a few hours later from gunshot wounds to the belly. But Sun who's married becomes pregnant dispite the fact that Jin medically should not be able to father a child. It may mean nothing but, I have to ask, Did anyone else noticed this.

Huh, yeah, Sun's still alive ans she's married.

It's a good theory but why aren't Sayid and Sawyer dead too? They were the partners in the unwed relations.

I thought the Others wanted really young ones. Was Alex conceived on the island? Or was Danielle pregnant before she arrived?

She was pregnant before she arrived.

This is an interesting theory... it kind of goes along with the theory about the Others that they take the children because they have "pure minds" and have not been influenced by society yet.
